My name is Jillian, but I usually go by Jill simply because it’s casual and I like people feeling at ease with me. I’m currently a college student with a typical semi adult life. After I finish my undergrad, I hope to go to grad school and finish with a masters or doctorate degree in English education. I’ve been a writer all my life and as a current writing tutor, nothing gives me more pleasure than helping others express themselves through the written word.  

Right now my life revolves around school and work, but I enjoy an assortment of hobbies on my spare time. I love reading, writing, painting, bowling (even though I think my highest score was a 90), venturing the city, and learning about different cultures as well as indulging in their foods! Actually, I love food in general. Even though I deeply appreciate high culture, I’m a very grounded person who cherishes the simple things in life. You’d most likely find me stuffing my face with chicken wings being inappropriately outspoken with the guys than get my nails done with the girls any day!

Because my interests range from one end of the spectrum to the other and I perceive things in different angles, it’s difficult for me to get involved with people on a deeper level. It takes a very long time…it might take you a lifetime to figure me out because I prefer to be resilient than wear my heart on my sleeve.  

I don’t consider myself a social person, but I like meeting all sorts of people from all walks of life. People come into your life for a reason and I believe that every person you meet leaves an impression that nurtures and facilitates human evolution and a heightened sense of communal existence.
